What we love…
- Modern, minimal, and sleek are basically the only way we can describe Oak New York, easily one of our favorite boutiques in city for edgy streetwear.
- Both men and women are covered at Oak, although telling the collections apart is no easy feat. Both collections blur the line between genders, with perfectly balanced androgynous pieces in the stores signature minimal color palette of black, white, and grey. Does that sound dreary to you? Well the Oak aesthetic isn't for everyone, and honestly most people won't be brave enough to wear any of it. Which makes the pieces even more special if you, like us, are one of the few who really love this look.
- You'll find a solid range of labels such as Ksubi, Rick Owens, Silent By Damir Doma, Obesity and Speed, Jeremy Laing, Pleasure Principle, Marios, Horace, and of course the in-house OAK brand which covers most of your basic items.
- The prices at Oak aren't outlandish, you're looking at mid-range price point for most of the apparel and accessories. Midrange is music to the ears of anyone seeking that minimal aesthetic, as it's common knowledge that look is tough to achieve that look for less than a high-end designer prices. Now you might be thinking mid-range is still high for tee's and black pants, but consider this: these are pieces that are meant to last years, they're built from quality materials, crafted carefully, and designed not to follow trends, but to still look good 10 years from now.
