What we love…

• At Gail's Artisan Bakery bread is an art form. Each fresh loaf is painstakingly made each day, by hand and totally free of preservatives—that means only water, salt, yeast and flour. The range of bread flavors is diverse such as rosemary or cinnamon, making this a local favorite for take out orders.
• Gail's isn't just a bakery though it also functions as a cafe for both breakfast and lunch. Stop by in the morning to sample those delightful breads as a side for one of their full breakfast feasts. Try the buttermilk hotcakes with maple roasted pear, or if you're into something more traditional the fried eggs and bacon on an English muffin is always a winner. They serve Union coffee (a small local coffee roaster) and whether you like espresso, lattes, and just plain old cupa' joe, they've got you covered. The breakfasts are under £10, AND the cafe has free WIFI, so you can plan your day over great coffee and breads, and avoid your hotel buffet. 
• If you're in the need of a quick lunch on-the-go the sandwiches at Gail's are great (and easy) option. Again all are made on their fantastic breads, and stuffed with a range of fresh veggies, cheese, and meats. You can also grab a soup or salad on the side for a more full meal, and of course if you're anything like us, something sweet from their pastry counter for dessert.
• Gail's has expanded from just a few locations to several all over London, with one in every major neighborhood. Since it is a community hotspot popular with locals it's can get pretty packed, the seating is communal so you just might end up breaking bread with a new friend.
