Musée Bourdelle

What we love…

  • Unlike other museums in Paris this is a former studio of artist and sculpture Antoine Bourdelle that has been converted into a museum preserving his work.
  • The former workshop has many different spaces and rooms to explore and discover—including a small garden full of sculpture.
  • The space holds over 500 pieces of bronze, marble, and plaster statues along with sketches and paintings by Antoine Bourdelle and his personal collection of peer work from artists such as Eugène Carrière, Pierre Puvis de Chavannes, Auguste Rodin, and a few others.
  • The unique and intimate space lends itself to rotating special exhibits such as the detailed work of French atelier Madame Grès displayed in the photos above. Make sure you check ahead to see what will be showing during your visit.
