Alexander Wang

What we love…

  • Sleek, trend-setting, minimalist streetwear is always on offer at Alexander Wang. This Pearson dropout (yes, Alexander Wang is a fashion school dropout) proves graduating from a fancy school isn't the only way to become successful in fashion. With a slew of prestigious awards under his belt, and now the title of Creative Director at Balenciaga, Alexander Wang is steadily becoming one of the most sought after designers of the moment.
  • The collections is beautiful, with pieces that are luxe and sumptuous without trying too hard. Wang's style references the chic parts of the 80's and 90's, without ever looking dated. In-fact, the collection always has a fresh modern feel with it's signature minimalist color palette of black, white, and grey.
  • Although you can pick up Alexander's collection at just about every major department store, this is the flagship New York store, and totally worth a look if you're a fan of the brand. The store is sparse with white walls and black furniture—including a large giant fur hammock, swinging in the center of the store. The whole collection is there, and of course merchandised beautifully—perhaps the only thing that wasn't perfect was the less-than-friendly staff. They're no problem though, just ignore them and carry on with your shopping.
